Although he never even appeared in Marvel until well into the X-Men 80's, during the "Storm loses her flight" arc (darn, I sold my first-appearance issue at a convention and never even realized it! ), even Xavier has little idea of his origins, and it's rather doubtful that he and Logan ever worked together, as Wolvie has never particularly been on good terms with, quote, "Gumbo".
