I must meet him at a con. Get my DVD of either Mallrats or Slither signed. Speaking of Slither, anyone else think that Universal will release a BD of it in August under the banner "From the Director of Guardians of the Galaxy"?

Well... considering he was campaigning to play Rocket Raccoon... I think it's a decent role.

Since all he would have been is a voice of a character had he gotten the role he wanted.

Sorting through my Phase 1 Blu-rays to make room for Thor: The Dark World, Winter Soldier, and GotG Blu-rays this year.

Do you guys think Captain America should be movie #1 on the shelf since he was the first avenger and the movie takes place in the past. Also, do you think the closing moments of First Avenger could take place before Iron Man 1?

But I like to put things in timeline order. ie, my X-Men Blu-rays: First Class, Origins, X1-X3, and eventually DofP

No - Captain America was still new to the 21st century at the start of The Avengers whereas Stark had been Iron Man for a few years at that point.

But where would you put DofP? It's a sequel to first class, but it also technically takes place after X3 and The Wolverine.

This sounds about right. I'd guess that sequence takes place a very short while before The Avengers.

Edit: For reference, here's the official timeline for everythin Pre-Avengers: http://i.annihil.us/u/prod/marvel/i/...aad4f8d5ea.jpg

Nope, Ant-Man after Avengers 2

Putting them in order of release makes sense. Even if the storyline chronology doesn't line up it's the order the storyline was supposed to be told in.

It is with great reluctance that I must come forward and say that I'm starting to get a tad (well, more than a tad, but less than a lot) excited about this movie.

This morning while I was cleaning my son put on the Avengers cartoons and one of the episodes he watched had Guardians of the Galaxy. So, I sat and watched the thing.

I really liked what I saw. I was disappointed that the raccoon and the tree, Groot, didn't have more dialogue. There was an additional character with them who was called Adam Warlock. I thought he was interesting, but it doesn't appear that he'll be in the movie.

So, anyway, I'm taking back all that I said about this movie and I will go see it when it comes out.

And please...no I told you so's.

Well, That's a nice surprise. Glad to see you on Board. As for Warlock, never say never. He's hinted at a bit in the mid credits scenes from 'Thor 2'.

Either that or the cocoon was empty and just an artifact in the collection.

As far as the timeline talk goes, Iron Man 2 and Thor were happening relatively simultaneously.
