That's what I'm hoping for. I have the Target slipcover for the Avengers, but it's not as different from the standard release the way this one is.

I was just thinking I could have Phase 2 slipless up to Age of Ultron, but then I realized that The Winter Soldier is going to be one I will want a slip for, badly, and probably the same for GotG. I really wish the 2D edition had a slip, and I don't want the 3D edition of this right now. I could see myself splurging on the Phase 1 and Phase 2 sets for the extras and 3D discs one day, but now I just want a consistent set of them on my shelf. I guess there is always the Disney rereleases of the MCU with no slips (but not Incredible Hulk). I also was convinced I would not buy this for a while after release because I was disappointed with the film and already I'm thinking of ordering it. Yikes. I just can't wait for Cap and GotG, I can't wait to love a Marvel film fully again.

Maybe I should stop buying these movies, and get the eventual Phase 1-3 set that'll come out in 2025!

According to experts, there won't be physical media by then.

just get the 1disc and throw a 3d slip on it. I know its frowned upon but whatever you're a paying customer.

If streaming can give us true HD and even 4K, that would be fine

Yeah and with internet neutrality being brought into question, I see that becoming a real problem for streaming.

I'm going to call my local BB to see if they can hold one of the steelbooks for me. It will match nicely with my Avengers BB steelbook.

Yes. All the experts I've heard, seem to think physical media will end in next 2 minutes. Sure hope they are wrong, as I have some nice preorders due in!

Have confirmed if the single disc edition has a DC? I really like that cover art, I wish it had a slip, a DVD, and DC, I hate that Disney has broke consistency. The only 3D Marvel BDs I was planning on getting was the Avengers films, and the rest in 2D combo packs, if I get this in 3D I will likely end up with a 3D set of Phase 2 and have to re-buy IM3 in 3D, and the idea of paying more money for that film seems awful to me. I could also see having Phase 2 in the "no-slip" editions until Age of Ultron, but I am expecting to like The Winter Soldier and GotG a lot, so I may end up springing for 3D versions for them, just to have slips. I wasn't even going to get this film at the time of release but now I might, if I can pick which edition to get. Yikes.

They will have some exclusive VUDU content, if that's of any substance to you.
