I'd still go with the Yamaha, you don't have to use a 7.1 Speaker Setup with it. Then try to get some good Speakers on a Budget. Fry's has some Polk Monitor Series 50's going for $99 each and get the Center Channel to match. As for the rears, you might want to wait untill your budget can afford it to get some good ones, but then go with a Set that has Di-pole & Bi-pole selections. These can be used as either a 5.1 or as a 7.1 setup all coming out of one Speaker.
