The German disc has no extras, and the eventual Second Sight disc likely will, so if extras are important to you, you might want to wait. However, there are some legal issues with Second Sight and the Capelight master at the moment, so there is no current timeframe for a potential release.

There's Canadian releases of all 3 [•REC] movies on blu-ray and they're perfectly affordable and decent releases too

Wow! That looks like a nice set. Bride is the uncut version I hope?

Correction: it includes Yuzna commentary and trailer, but that's it.

Yes, both are uncut. I don't know which extras have been ported and which have been dropped from the multi-disc versions of the two films though.

Second Sight's Facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/SecondSight...?stream_ref=10

Edit: They didn't mention the legal issue being related to the Capelight master, though.

Here's the post:

We thank everyone for their patience with regard to SOCIETY and can now post a statement from the Executive Producer of the film with regard to the situation;

'The owners of the film 'Society' are currently working on resolving a legal issue which has recently arisen. Unfortunately this has meant that UK distributor Second Sight Films has not been able to release the film on the date planned.'

We will of course be posting updates as soon as we receive them and are instructing Amazon to remove the title until further notice.
Edit: My mistake; the issue is, as noted above, with the film owners and not Capelight.

Sweet! I'm going to order that Steelbook. It looks very nice. Thanks for the info.

Thank you NoirFan. When I read it, I couldn't decide if I should wait or not. For me its $$...why spend 30.00 for one version of it now, when I could again after the delay is cleared...

Why am I no longer surprised when I see these stories?

Shame about this. I guess the chances of a Choke Canyon blu are about 0 now.

Thanks for posting it, NoirFan! I was wondering what the delay was all about.

I need to rewatch Dagon. The first time I saw it I didn't like it all, probably because my expectations were too high.

It's not a masterpiece by any stretch but it's very solid. It's too bad that it wasn't made 10 years earlier or at the very least had combs and crampton. I would rather have the film as it is then not have it at all. It's a foreign horror movie with an American director so it has this weird feel too it. But the more Cthulhu the better...

It's actually really interesting to re-watch Dagon knowing of its influence on Resident Evil 4 (the game). The similarities never hit me until I rewatched years after it came out and had read about that, but once you know they're plain as day.

I would love an uncut BD of Return of the Living Dead 3, directed by Brian Yuzna. I don't know if Lionsgate owns the rights in perpetuity but this was one of Yuzna's better 90's films and a surprisingly good sequel to the original classic, even if it's mostly in-name-only. If Yuzna had made the film a few years later it likely would've been part of his Filmax filmography. As far as the Filmax titles go, my favorite is DAGON. It's a good movie.
