With that said, I hope it's Scream that puts it out. I've been wanting them to put it out ever since the Scream line was first announced.

how come when they give the details of an upcoming release they still keep it a secret whether or not it has subtitles ?

I think Scream would be the better choice since its more their specialty...and the chances of porting over extras are better...
Lets just hope that this rumor is true

In all fairness, Twilight Time have been porting the extras from previous releases more and more consistently as time's gone on. If they ended up doing it, I wouldn't be surprised if the extras from the Collector's Edition were ported over.

As you said, though, Pumpkinhead is more Scream's specialty than TT's (it's fairly obvious that TT isn't familiar with the more cultish-horror titles they've put out, based on comments they made, not to mention their initial reaction to the NotLD outrage), so I do hope that they put the release out. We know that, regardless of whether the MGM extras are ported over or not, we'd get some nice new extras to go along with it.

I commented on this earlier, but I just finished listening to my copy (The Cure put out 2-Disc Deluxe Editions of all their albums up to Disintegration, and The Glove got the same treatment). Such a good album...

Plus, Twilight Time's limited edition nonsense.

I wish they'd open their eyes and do some re-issues.

If TT get Pumpkinhead that yeah it might suck but at least we'll get it. I don't think Scream has any interest in it.

or maybe they are interested but couldnt get it ..who knows. Its true TT has ported over extras but that choice isnt up to them. They are releasing all sorts of genres, I wouldnt call them world cinema yet, but some films they carry remind me of Criterion..
Would Pumpkinhead sell 3000 units if it was limited or not ?

I think it would definitely sell 3000 units.

Twilight Time is proof that catalog Horror will sell out almost immediately, especially when limited.

the most sense is spend the 90K to buy the 3000 titles, sell them for $60.00 and profit 90K. The time it would take to send and ship all 3000 titles is probably worth 90K to someone...

They can't do re-issues until their original 3-year window has expired, which has yet to happen for any Blu-ray title that has sold out.

I just don't think that they have any business selling blu rays at all. What idiots would think that a John Carpenter title or one of the most renowned 80's cult horror comedy horrors would undersell???? They didn't even limit the amount of these limited editions an individual could buy from them, thus depriving genuine fans of owning Christine or Fright Night. Lets face it, they are incompetent and I can't wait for them to go down. Arrow they ain't.

Did you see Sony rushing to release Christine themselves? Disgusting hoping that any company goes under just because you don't like their business model/pricing. You don't like them, fine. They are what they are.

Yeah. If you don't like them, don't buy them. History has shown that at least 3000 other people will.

Finished watching Visiting Hours last night, it looks very good on Blu-ray. Bad Dreams is next tonight.

I think you guys are being too hard on the guy. I can get where he's coming from, and I do think that Twilight Time does a relatively poor job incentivising their releases in terms of extras and special features, particularly new ones. They charge a premium, but the product they release doesn't necessarily match that pricing.

And because of that someone would happily see them go under? That's the point I'm making. I just find that a poor attitude to have.

Doing extras isnt up to TT - the studio they sub license from dictates to them if I remember correctly.
I bet when TT releases The Blob remake that sells 3000 pretty quickly - as much as I get the 3000 limits Im glad its not for any of the Godzilla movies ! They seem to be into titles that in most cases will not sell 3000 at least right away...except for horror and sci fi

I don't think you understand. TT is a niche business. With both Fright Night and Christine they got to release a film they like, that turned them a nice profit, and sold out.

It's not their concern if everyone didn't get one. They aren't in the business of supplying the world. I'd say their business model is the opposite of incompetent considering.

Now Sony, that's another story, but who really knows. They could have released the movie themselves and be sitting on a warehouse of 32,000 copies of FN. That hardly sounds great.
