I believe someone mentioned earlier in this thread that Sony is now letting other companies produce extras for their movies. If this is true, I would hope that Scream Factory is waiting to make a deal with them after the rights lapse on some of the Twilight Time releases e.g. Fright Night and Night of the Living Dead 90. Then they can also go after some of the other Sony horror titles like Candyman, Vampires, Brainscan, and Children of the Night. It will be a while before the Blob 88 is available, but I would still love to see a release of that in the future as well as the Sony owned The Last Dragon on blu from Shout Factory.

So does anybody know which SF releases have been poor sellers and which ones have been very good sellers? I'm just curious.

Are these companies holding on to the extras so they can milk it and possibly use on a later re-release? |

Arrow beat them to it on this one. I think the majority of people who buy these films are 1) die hard horror fans who will grab the first release out of the gate and 2) collectors who, again, prefer not to wait and love it when companies "go the extra mile" by coming up with special packaging, booklets, thoughtful extras, etc. Some people buy both, like myself, in some cases. I couldn't resist Arrow's LIFEFORCE steelbook so I grabbed that one and sold my Shout copy. I'm not knocking Shout/Scream, BTW. I love both companies. But I'm very impatient. I need product in my hands as soon as humanly possible ![]() |

I was referring to the DVD, which came out in 2011. Not sure if the 2013 BD upgrade was an improvement in terms of extras or PQ but that release came first. As a diehard horror fan I always buy the first release out. I usually prefer a BD but Arrow wasn't sure if they were going to upgrade it so I grabbed it.

A recent title I would love to see them release would be "The Woods". I'm probably the only one who really likes it, but still, I think it's awesome. I love Lucky McKee.
I would also like them to release "Dolls", but, you know... |

The good thing is that if you have the previous release you don't need to buy the newer scream factory release. So no need to spend 50 dollars. |
