Ok, so obviously you're some kind of strange and exceptional minority. What difference does it make if you had these kinds of resources available to you or not? Most people on the streets don't today, to say nothing about ten years ago.

Until they make it where the guy out in the boondocks can have steady and fast connections like the kind you're referring to, and it's a LOT cheaper than what it costs today? We're many years away from downloads taking over. I'll certainly stand against it for as long as I can, anyway that I can.

Frankly, I'm one of many people who prefer to have something concrete in their hands to show for their money anyways. <- Most people feel this way so that's two incredibly large obstacles right there.

I'm staying with optical formats and other concrete media for my money for as long as I possibly can and I suspect most others will as well.
