I hope Scream Factory can license and release collectors editions of Halloween Curse of Michael Myers and Halloween H20.

Water Horse is horrible. That's a type of horror. I do consider the whole Godzilla franchise to be horror though, even if a few do not fit the criteria.

Do distribution companies ever do contracts where multiple companies release the same movie at the same time with different editions. For example, there are a lot of Echo Bridge titles that I think would benefit from this sort of distribution scheme. Where, for example, Echo Bridge would release the cheap budget version of a movie no extras and a cheap transfer for general consumers, while at the same time another company, like Scream Factory, would release a more expensive nice edition of the movie for people who are collectors or fans of the film. I think that would be a really good distribution model, because both companies could make money on the same movie and consumers would have a choice between the collector's edition or the cheap edition of the movie.

I can't see Echo Bridge going along with such a plan unless there's a loophole in their contract or without some sort of monetary incentive. |

A Chiller documentary called Killer Legends will be premiering next week.
I doubt this will be released by Scream Factory (as the other Chiller doc(s) haven't been) but it pertains to The Town That Dreaded Sundown, because they will be investigating the Urban Legend of the "Hook Hand Killer", which is believed to have been spawned by the Phantom Killer of the Texarkana Moonlight Murders. They'll also be digging deep into the real-life inspirations of the "Tainted Halloween Candy", "Babysitter Killer", and "Clown Killer" Urban Legends. I actually like the premise of this, and wouldn't mind seeing it released on blu-ray (although The American Scream and the one about movies that were based on true events were not). More infor here. |

Sadly inevitable, but it looks like we can rule out Phantasm:

Criterion is known to *sit on titles* for a long time before a release, for whatever the reason is, remastering, extras, taking their time with the project. It took them over a year to release Foreign Correspondent after it was known that they did have it. Im still waiting for Mulholland Drive and Eraserhead from them since they reportedly have both.
