However, Criterion has let it be known that are circling the film. While licensing can be a ***** and we've had TT lose a film to Scream in recent months...Criterion doesn't tend to lose films in this matter. Their deals expire (Studio Canal), but they rarely lose something outright.

But, let's keep spinning our wheels in here. It's very productive.

The difference is that Mulholland Drive hasn't been a "clue" or an official announcement or even an unofficial mention at a live event (unless you have another source that wasn't one guy on Bluray.com getting ahead of himself and posting wishful thinking as if it were confirmation).

If there is another source beyond that, I would love to see it. Using bad "blog reporting" as fact really is spinning our collective wheel.

Who is posturing? Hell, I brought up two other releases that Criterion was supposed to have already put out by now, but nothing has come of it.

Yeah, I usually try to stay out of these things. It's one of the reasons I really don't post that often to begin with. It always seems like there's someone out there ready to pick a fight, argue about something, or just out to prove people wrong on everything.

I have no great love or loyalty towards either film truthfully, both are so-so to me though I much prefer Mulholland Dr than As Good As It Gets. The point I was making was that no film is too "important" when it comes to being released by Twilight Time. If a film such as The Way We Were that was phenomenally successful at the box office and entered the cultural zeitgeist is now "reduced" to being released in a limited edition 3000 run from Twilight Time, then don't think that it can't happen to Mulholland Dr. either.

And it's proven that Twilight Time's cult titles have a track record of sell way way more faster than their mainstream titles. Just look at "Fright Night" and "Night of the Living Dead" remake. Absolutely, Mulholland Dr. has fantastic cult appeal and well sell very briskly if Twilight Time were to ever release it.
