Metropolitan's French set (which I have) is absolutely the way to go. It's pricier than the German set but it's worth it. All films have DTS-HD MA sound and I think at least some of the German discs are DTS-HD HR. Also, I think the French set is the only one with the 121 minute extreme director's cut of Saw III.

The " List of International BDs with Better PQ, AQ, and/or More Extras" thread shows the French versions of Saw I and Saw III as better than any other versions available.

Is the Entertainment in Video standalone bluray of Saw presented in 1080p because Saw II is interlaced.
