Immortals 3D steelbook was a general release as I got my copy from Amazon. Was sold out prior to release date though. Still have my sealed copy.
I bought the Danish 3D version later to view as in the UK Immortals was cut for a 15 when they could have had an 18 certificate uncut.

Yeah that's a good idea, I'd like to do that. I'll sort out doing a list in the first post and then endeavour to keep it updated.

Maybe I'm just not seeing what's in front of me? I have The Expendables and 2 both exclusive SBs. But only part 2 was listed. Was number one a play.com or general release steel.

I'd forgotten about a lot of these. HMV really has released some amazingly well designed Steelbooks over the years.

Agreed - of the ones I own (and it's not a huge selection of the list) Thor, Captain America, District 9, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Skyfall, Touch of Evil, True Grit, Drive and Avengers Assemble (even with the picture spine) are among my favourties SBs in my collection.

Dark Knight Rises, Hunger Games, Wolverine 3D and Super 8 are great too, the only two lesser SBs I have from them is War Horse (which is fine, it's just the printed logos and banner) and A Good Day to Die Hard - again, nothing wrong with it per se, just doesn't stand out (but it was £4.99 so I'm happy with it)

Loved the old HMV exclusives for the most part, the Disney ones were pretty poor. But Paramount were the kings.

I like this idea!

If anyone needs a copy of A Good Day To Die Hard, my local CEX has loads as everyone bought them for £1.99 when HMV closed and sold them to CEX for a tenner. They're about £6 currently
