Lol....isn't that the truth. Anytime I find Goodfellas on tv I always somehow end up watching the rest of it, even though I have the blu ray on the shelf. I can definitely see American Hustle in that category eventually.

I'll be picking this up day 1. I rarely ever watch special features and I didn't see this in theatres, so I'm itching to watch it.

I've been wanting to see this but I see so many people have been disappointed in it. Is it blind buy worthy?

I do like the cast.

The new Goodfellas?!?!?!

Not even close. This movie is an overrated snooze fest. Saw this & The Wolf Of Wall Street in theaters back in December and Wolf was 100x better. I actually had fun at the movies watching that. This felt like a chore. I really don't understand the hype surrounding this movie. The acting isn't great, the accents are worse and the script is a total bore. The costumes are good and the soundtrack is fun but this movie flat out sucks.

I don't think it's a snooze fest -- I enjoyed it a lot and look forward to watching it again. But I do think it's highly overrated. I thought it was a fun movie, not an Oscar-caliber movie.

I love this film. I watched it again recently and enjoyed it even more than when I saw it in theaters. The cast is incredible, and the music and costumes are spot on. Safe blind buy to anyone that enjoys Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Christian Bale at their best.

I really enjoyed it. I've seen it 3 times now. The only movie I saw multiple times at the theatre this year. It's a great "hang out" movie meaning it's fun to revisit these characters and hang out with them. I know I'll get some nice replay value out of the Blu-ray.

I enjoyed this movie, but if you didn't see it it's hard to say if it's blind buy worthy. I would see it 1st. It happened to come out in a year w/ alot of good movies and IMO it wasn't as good as Wolf of Wall Street. That was a thrill ride. This was more like a "cool drama". I still may buy it day 1, but i wouldn't blindly.

Saw in theater and will be getting blu. Maybe It is not the best movie- but it sure does'nt suck either. American Hustle is greater than the sum of its parts- it is not best in any one area, but it is above average in all areas. I do think Jennifer Lawrence gives a better performance here than in "Silver linings playbook". Can anyone name a mainstream movie that was leagues better than "American Hustle" in the past year? All you have to do is not suck to get an academy nomination nowadays. I thought it was about as worthy as the other academy nominated contenders. I can't really think of one that was much better that I've seen lately, except for maybe "dallas buyers club", but usually movies dont "sweep" categories anymore.
"American Hustle" has enough going for it to be interesting and entertaining, especially to anyone who recalls the whole abscam thing in the papers back then- those same people might like the movies soundtrack and the vinyl scenes too. It's also really funny- it manages to poke fun at the absurdity of ABSCAM, while still maintaining a serious edge.....The sheik from Queens. It's a sly movie...thumbs up here.

This was some of the most fun I had at the theater in 2013. This and Wolf were two of my favorite movies of last year, and I wouldn't hesitate to blind-buy either of them. I love Goodfellas as much as the next guy, but I don't think this movie is trying to be like Goodfellas at all. It does its own thing. That's just my opinion, of course.

And I could definitely see this airing on AMC or something in a couple of years. And I'll be right there watching

Your Opinion a long with others on here have definitely gained my interest in picking this one up blindly as well.
This one along with Frozen next week will be in the collection.
