Big news here in Korea, where it was produced.

It's fun in the beginning, but drags on. The way the monster appears is what made me laugh my tail off. As I mentioned in the other thread, two of the foreign actors in that got deported for not obtaining the proper work visas. I used to attend a singles group with the guy who plays the soldier in the beginning. He got deported, but not sure if he was allowed to return or not.

Something like 16 million Koreans watched that movie -- pretty much half of the country by now, I think.

My girlfriend hates the awful graphics when the monster dies. She said Koreans were talking on the internet about how embarrassed they were by the graphics in that ending. Actually, I think the graphics were outsourced to a company in New Zealand, if memory serves.

As you will learn, to be a foreign actor in Korea, you just have to look white, have the proper visa (or be willing to work illegally and risk deportation) and know the right people.

I was supposed to be in a Korean movie called Taiphoon (spelling?) two years ago, but they changed the shooting schedule, and it conflicted with my work hours.

Watch that movie, and you'll see scenes that I see each and every day (minus the monster).
