You have all the specs on this page:
http://www.amazon.fr/Blade-Runner-An...th+anniversary

Disc 1 has the Final Cut
Disc 2 has three other versions: US theatrical release, the international release and the director's cut.

Okay, perhaps I wasn't clear:
1- I already know the specifics of The Final Cut disc;
2- on Amazon.fr it doesn't say whether the language options apply also to the second disc (the one with the other cuts);
3- said disc in the USA has only english, french and spanish and is on a BD-25 (same disc as the old 5 disc edition) while in Italy and Germany they made a new encode on a BD-50 because thay had to remake the disc to include German and Italian dubs anyway.
Now, given the point stated above: is this the same BD-25 as the american version or is it the new BD-50 (recognizable from the presence of both german and italian dubs)?

After extensive googling I didn't find any certain info on that regard, that's why I asked here, as the french edition seems to be the only one at the moment that doesn't come at the cost of an eye and a leg.

Yep, last September the ITA edition went at € 20 on Amazon.it but at the time I still hoped they'd make a three disc edition without the gadgets (plus I didn't have money on my rechargeable credit card), but as it went out of print it seems Warner has only churned out simple repackagings of the Final Cut or The Final Cut plus Disc 3 of the box set.

Now it costs € 119 on Amazon.it, the German version is € 60 and the french edition is € 32 (listing price was € 35 at the time).

I wasn't here for that toy car either, but I decided to go for it - I can't say I've been regretting it.

I could check my copy tomorrow evening, but in the meantime, according to the back cover, it says that there is Italian in 2.0, but no German dubs. But sometimes, back cover are not 100% accurate.

If there's the italian dub then it's the Euro BD-50 disc, thanks.

[Though another check doesn't hurt. Yes, I'm paranoid.]

The only reason it was bumped up to a BD-50, was because of the added audio and subtitle streams. The transfer was NOT re-encoded.

Yes, the file size is slightly bigger, but that's got nothing to do with the transfer being different, rather the Euro language options being bolted on to the existing transfer. The US and Euro discs, both have an average bitrate of 16.88 Mbps, with the Euro disc only being around 29gb in size in total, with the film being 25gb. The US disc sits quite comfortably at just over 23gb, (in total AND actual disc size), as it doesn't require all those other language options.

There is zero benefit to it, unless you need one of the additional languages.

Strange, one of those hi-def maniac that has both US and Euro editions (in an Italian forum a few months ago) said it has been re-encoded in AVC when the "original" was VC-1, and a 6 GB difference isn't a bit much for three or four additional lossy dubs when the average bitrate and video file size are the same?

Or are there other dubs on the Euro disc other than German, French, Italian and Spanish that are not mentioned on the back cover?

There were already three dubs other than English in the US disc: French (Quebec), French (standard) and Spanish, that's why I was "worried" as the US disc was used with the old "suitcase" edition in Spain and completely omitted in all other European countries where it came out.

And apart from the encode, being from a mixed Italian and Swiss (German speaking, though only one of my brothers speaks fluently) family I could use the dubs for when one of my brothers might want to see it (and beside that, all my friends speak only italian, so no "collective vision" in case the box set had the US disc).

By the way, I ordered it yesterday, should arrive in a week or so.

Well I checked, there four dubs on the second disc:
English, French, Italian and German.
So, I guess it's the 50gb Blu-Ray.

Crap, I just realised that you meant the second disc, lol
I know that the workprint version was re-encoded in AVC, but can't say how it relates to the non-US releases, unfortunately.
