I wouldn't buy a mac for the same reason that I wouldn't buy a Dell: I don't do proprietary systems, and Mac is the most proprietary of them all. It's the reason why they don't blu-ray drives, because they offer no consumer choice. A mac is what it is right out of the box, and if you try to tinker with it (and void the warranty), you wreck it.
