Criterion's On the Waterfront needs to be mentioned. 3 times the same movie in different aspect ratios.

The Town Ultimate Collector's Edition is cool, but it has the fake FBI files with all those pointless documents and case briefings, as well as a book that discusses the sets, making of, and different facts. It also has I believe 3 or 4 different cuts of the film: Theatrical, Extended, Extended with Alternate Ending. Don't get me wrong though, I love it and I own it.

That's crazy! What was the point of having 3?

They should've done it for other movies, such as Paths of Glory.

People talk about aspect ratios and spoken languages as if there are definitive answers for all movies. Most, perhaps even the vast majority, are framed one exact way and are meant to be heard in one specific language. However, some movies were intentionally made to be exhibited a variety of ways, and they are ALL correct.

For example, ideally, we should've gotten both versions of Catching Fire on Blu-ray. The Japanese box set will offer both, but I'm a little worried that the IMAX disc might end up like the Taiwan release, which zooms the non-IMAX portions.

Only film I have that was a bit over the top is Inception. I bought the briefcase version, only because it had the actual movie case inside that I can fit in with the rest of my movies.

It's a DVD set but I've always found it the funniest special package ever and often facetiously lament that my favorite new titles won't have special Ape Head editions for me display proudly on my book shelf.

That Inception "briefcase" was just horrible. Wouldnt stand up properly. Made of stuff that scratched if you as much as looked at it. I sold it on quick to get my money back!
