looks like if you search for "film favorites (bby) bluray" it will turn up exactly the eleven that were "wide released" (as in the op), and the other skus from my post (i really should just look at the price tag for the final destination one since it apparently was never listed online) have been deactivated.

SO I guess I'll have to be lucky and try to find them in stores then? The 2 of 3 (I listed) don't apper "In Stock". The Final Destination i'll probably never find.

Dirty Harry 3&4 in the Eastwood set. Why not 1?
Why the original King Kong with three modern CGIfests.
The Burton one just seems a bit confused. It would make sense if anything else (except Batman) were in there instead of Charlie. Or if they wanted to get rid of Sleepy Hollow, just throw in another not R rated one.

I'm pretty sure I saw this one at Costco a couple of months ago. I thought it was strange that they split up the Dirty Harry Movies.

Tim Burton: Beetlejuice, Mars Attacks, Corpse Bride, Dark Shadows

It is an odd ensemble of movies. There's already a Dirty Harry 4 Film Favorites set that includes the first 2 movies, and already has Sudden Impact and The Enforcer included. You'd think they would just include The Dead Pool in this one instead of making it overlap so much with an existing release.

Yeah. The Burton one makes me so confused I might as well just get the 8 pack with all the pre-2012 (Dark Shadows, Paramount deal) titles.

Because you already own around 1200 movies

I'd definitely buy them, if I didn't own the vast majority of them! If you are building a collection from scratch they'd be a nice way to add a bunch cheaply.

Sleepy Hollow is a Paramount title, but Warner received the rights to distribute a large number of Paramounts's library. They didn't have the rights when the Tim Burton Collection was released.

i can confirm the leo collection has a slip; just got mine from amazon last week. all the ones in these series have had them though, so no reason for the new ones to not have them. no 90-year stickers though, unlike the ones i got at best buy.

unrelated, the fantasty adventure collection (the last airbender, hugo, golden compass, inkheart) includes the 3d/2d disc of the last airbender! haven't seen that drop below $20-something since it was a bb exclusive, then out of print quickly, now just on wbshop for $33. the others are exactly the same as the full versions (yes, golden compass says "disc 1").

You ain't lying. "One of these things is not like the others" (cuz it's a good movie)! To be fair, I haven't seen Jack yet, and don't hate Cloverfield (does it belong in any conversation with King Kong? Hells No!). 10,000 B.C. is one of the worst movies I've suffered through since the new century though. Who decides the line-ups for these, monkeys with darts?
