Where has everyone had the best luck of getting the best prices on these titles?. I haven't seen a lot of them so I would like to get them for the best prices possible. I saw shout factory was having a sale, but they are all still very expensive blind buys.
I just my copy of The Slumber Party Massacre in the mail today from Family Video. It was $14.99. They charge $1.99 shipping on any size order. So, if possible, it's a good idea to order multiple titles to take advantage of it.
Blowitoutahere has good prices as well. You'll have to check their shipping as it varies depending on # of titles purchased. But they do often have coupons like right now I believe it's 10% off orders of $25+. I think 2 titles with a save 10% basically saves you the shipping cost. It's best to maybe compare the same order on both sites. Oh and for their coupons, you can check them on their Facebook page.

Of the titles listed, I would buy the ones in bold without a doubt. Besides Leatherface:TCM III and Halloween: Curse of Michael Myers, I haven't seen those titles since the good ol' days of mom and pop video stores.
I loved Waxwork as a kid, but when I watched it about 10 years ago, I was very disappointed. There were still some cool things, but the Vampire channeling Clint Eastwood was just the pits.
I didn't even know that Family Video preordered movies. I just thought they rented movies and sold their own copies. Are they usually pretty cheap there or on par with everyone else?
So it does seem like $19.99 is a "good deal" on these type of movies. Is there a good list of which ones are "must owns" for a typical horror fan? I have never seen most of these movies. I wish Redbox had them to rent or something. I was in Family Video tonight and didn't really see any of them to rent on blu ray either.
They rent and sell used itmes in-store. Their B&M locations are just Video Stores, for the most part.
On their website they sell brand new dvds/video games/blu-rays. (They also sell used rental copies too).

Would you say that pretty much every one of these movies is a must own on blu ray? I haven't gotten a respond as to which ones are a "must own." I love horror movies, but haven't seen a lot of older ones besides typical things like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc.

I personally don't like to use the term 'must own' often cause tastes can vary so much and it's too easy to have a title 1 person loves and says you have to buy this and then the person says they didn't care for it. But, other than the Halloween titles, I would say The Burning is a must own. It's hard to suggest unless you really know someones tastes.
I'd suggest checking out the reviews here on the site. They give a fairly good idea on the quality of the release and a bit about the movie as well. Trailers can be helpful too. I'm behind on the number of their releases that I want. That will change a bit now since I only recently learned of the two sites to order from. I don't think Amazon will be getting my money again.
It looks like Phantasm has been removed from Anchor Bay's catalog of titles, though it can still be located via search, though suspiciously without any links to buy it on Amazon. It was still part of the catalog listing when I last checked a couple weeks ago, so I have a feeling they may have actually lost that one, finally.
Phantasm III and IV are both still on their catalog listing.
I would love to see Scream Factory slowly scoop all of these up as they slip through Anchor Bay's fingers in the coming years.
