Any word on BSG, Army of Darkness etc? - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone has any info on the subj?
I sure hope those come out soon... I know Army Of Darkness was pretty crappy transfer, so hopefully they'll redo.

Hopefully Universal is taking the time to give us a better transfer on AOD. I've read the HD-DVD transfer wasn't that great.

The only thing I saw wrong with the AOD HD DVD, was that it was the shitty U.S. theatrical version. Hopefully Uni can license the longer version from somewhere for a better BD release.

for BSG no word on release date but I would expect by X-mass this year for S1 & IF they release the first half of Season 4 (like they did for season 2/ 2.5 dvd) it would be on blu, the 2nd half does not come out until 2009

I hope we find out who the 5th is before the mid season

If you like Tick EE on you're movie. AOD was it. I was so tick in some scene that the actor was almost double..

If and when Army of Darkness comes out it will be my 3rd copy of the film. But I really hope the fix the transfer I seen the HD-DVD version and it was pretty bad .

Universal has always been fairly clueless when it comes to their cult titles. The only reason AB doesn't have AOD anymore is because Uni cut off third party licensing

You would hope that would be true

....Hopefully Universal has had time to start working on the other seasons as well....BSG in HD is just too good to pass up...

Because cult titles rarely sell.. sure they will sell some.. but its not in their best interest money wise to put a lot of promotion and money behind titles that wont sell well..
