Default May 20 Paramount titles in Canada. Where are they ?

I went around today to my local Walmart, Bestbuy and Futureshop and couldn't find any of the re-released titles (Face-off / Blades of Glory please). Anyone in Canada have any luck finding them? (I live in Winnipeg) I searched and couldn't find a thread about this for Canada.

Thanks for that info, but I'm going to be upset if this becomes common in Canada with titles getting delayed. I thinking I'm just going to order from my work soon, they sometime a little more expensive but I get them about a week early.

I work at a Best Buy, and we haven't got anything in. Actually, my supervisor was helping someone look for one, couldn't even find it in the computer. So I don't know what's going on with those ones. Can't wait, with all those new titles, maybe we'll have to cut the HD DVD side in half (again), leaving only about the top row or two of a four foot section.

You don't think they would have cancelled V For Vendetta in Canada. That would suck bad because there have been a few that got delayed and never came here. (Dogma comes to mind)

No they haven't. I know someone who works at FS and they have it in stock, they just can't sell it until next Tuesday.

Well all of mine (including V) will be arriving here in Canada this week from Amazon.com. I gave up trying to look for new titles on release week in Canada. It is is a waste of time for many titles.

Thanks, but why do you think Warner did this to us, It kinda seems useless to delay it by one week even when they already have them in stock. Warner is crazy

I have no idea, possibly something to do with french subtitles. It does really suck though.

Agreed. Order from the states and get it much faster. It's also cheaper.
I don't think I've bought a single blu-ray here in Canada except for a few used ones from my local game store.

Thanks for that info. Do you know or can you confirm if Best Buy will be selling those new titles on May 27th? or June 3rd as Amazon has it?

If they already have them probably since before its actual May 20 release date considering most stores get their stock at least 4 - 5 days before street date , subtitles shouldn't be the problem. It makes no sense whatsoever

Dogma, Mr. Brooks, DVE... Those titles never came up here.

I ordered Dogma, National Treasure 1 & 2, DVE, and V from amazon... Even with the shipping it came at 22.76$ (US) per title so It's not bad... What sucks is that it takes one or two weeks to get here.

I had already ordered Mr. Brooks during a B1G1 last holiday. God I miss those sales.

I wish amazon.ca would start offering the same service as the US site...

I picked Up Dogma from amazon when I found it won't come here but it's quite dissapointing that they keep screwing Canada out of Blu titles. Plus it can't be money, our dollar is as strong as the U.S dollar these days.

Hmmm, good point, didn't even consider that. Well maybe Warner doesn't like french people.
