Revenge of the Nerds was a nice surprise...definitely Aladdin if it does get the Diamond treatment. For me personally though my most anticipated Blu that has already been announced would have to be Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and for unannounced it would have to be Small Soldiers. I feel like there is a good possibility we might see this soon because of the recent release.

The only thing that's been announced so far that I'm excited for is A Hard Day's Night from Criterion.

Yes, it's funny that in such threads, most people don't read carefully what the first post says.
Also, some missed the part that I was saying:
Quote:
Of course I'm not talking about new movies, because those are released anyway after their cinema release.
That means, no Hobbit, no Frozen, no Gravity etc., because they are going to be released (or were released) anyway!

The thread is about older films, that have a global appeal and are being anticipated for a Bluray release in years, thus making their subsequent release a Bluray event (like someone said).

Twin Peaks

La Dolce Vita (Criterion) if it's out this year. If not, it'll be among the most anticipated of 2015.

That is a seriously anticipated title, but this thread isn't about your most anticipated title.

From what's announced currectly, The Time Machine and The Blob.

If The Abyss and/or True Lies is announced this year, either one of those could take it.

And what I'd like to hear announced is Small Soldiers and Innerspace, but I don't think either one of those would command too much of a presence.

The Blob (‘88)

Not my personal most anticipated Blu-ray but it will sell out Day 1.

So far this year it has to be the Jerry Lewis comedy The Nutty Professor. If it is remastered properly it will look so awesome on blu as it is such a colorful film.

I almost put my most wanted title too.

However, I would think that Batman 60's would be one of the most anticipated Blurays in 2014. Other choices might be the next main Disney Diamond title or True Lies.

Not mine, but as it pertains to the question at hand.

As in "long awaited for", the award easily goes to the Batman '66 TV Show, which is one of the most (if not the most) notable things that has never been released on home media before (period, not just Blu-ray).

I don't think I'm the only one who would rejoice at a Team America announcement. It's the 10th anniversary and Paramount released the South Park movie ten years after its theatrical release as well. If we don't see it this year, I'm giving up and importing, as silly as it is to have to import Team AMERICA.

By the power of suggestion, yes,
The Abyss (if there's any remote confirmation at all)
and
Criterion Coll for Eraserhead (everyone's going to pre-order that one)
Jodorowsky's Dune
