I think the only time this character really worked was Anchorman. I know lots of people hate it, but I think it's his one real quality movie, but keep in mind it's not just because of feral... there's a lot of funny actors in that movie. more than something like Blades of Glory or Semi-Pro. edit - that's not to single out feral or anything. a lot of actors, especially comedy actors, get put into or put themselves into this kind of situation. the none michael cera kid fvrom superbad, can't remember his name, is a good example. he plays the same guy all the time. in my opinion it worked best the first time I saw it in Accepted, an underrated movie, and it now is so overdone that in Dewey Cox I thought it destroyed the entire character of the dead brother. ugh, it just didn't fit at all.
