Default The Worricker Trilogy (BBC 2011-2014)

A highly enjoyable trio of TV films centred on intelligence analyst Johnny Worricker, superbly played by Bill Nighy. Intelligently written by David Hare and with an outstanding supporting cast including Rachel Weisz, Michael Gambon, Christopher Walken, Helena Bonham Carter and Ralph Fiennes as a Blairesque Prime Minister. The third film, Salting The Battlefield, is still available on BBC iplayer. Annoyingly, there is a UK box set but its DVD only, Page Eight is available on blu in the US but the quality is poor. With their high production values, 2.35:1 ratios and interesting soundtracks, these deserve a good blu ray box
