Unfortunately Boyd Kirkland, director of "SubZero" passed away in 2011, but I'm sure WB can get their hands on the 16:9 version... if they want to

Also inlcude me to those who wants "Mask of the Phantasm" on bluray, but that movie NEEDS a major "special edition" - "anniversary" treatment not just a barebones release.

Back on topic, a new edition of Burton's Batman would be nice, but this new edition needs more than a DVD, Digital Copy in HD, and some kind of replica from the movie, it needs extras about the movie, a new documentary something like that, the old DVD/bluray already have great extras, so I'm not exactly sure what can they include, but I'm hoping they can thing in something.

What I would love to get it's a version of "Batman Forever" with the deleted scenes included in the movie.

Actually, Danny Elfman is the composer of the original soundtrack. LaLaLandRecords released it a few years back in complete form. It's a great soundtrack. Prince just did a few lame songs. And I like some Prince stuff. But not the songs for this movie.

But the design of the box is awesome! It would be cool it they included a Joker Hot Toy! Yeah, right!!

Danny Elfman did the score to both the Burton movies but Prince actually did release a separate soundtrack of material created for the film. I'm not a big Prince fan so I've never owned it but I know it exists. As for the Hot Toys figure, it's awesome but will never happen Plus Hot Toys figures stop production after a certain amount so that particular one isn't even available now. There is a version of the Nicholson Joker available however in his Mime outfit.

As far as the 25th Anniversary Blu-ray goes, I'm interested to see what Warner comes up with for it. I've got the digibook and I'm pretty satisfied with it but as a fan of Batman in general I'll likely pick this edition up.

I'd actually be excited if the UCE did come with a (remastered) Prince soundtrack. But I love (80’s) Prince.

I'd pay anything for a 4K scan of the original negative, however had Warner done so, I'm sure we'd have been told so by now.

Prince was responsible for the soundtrack whereas Elfman was responsible for the score. I own both on CD. There's an entire album full of songs written by Prince, including some which didn't appear in the film.

I didn't realize that he passed away. I did get some of my facts messed up regarding SubZero's presentation. In an interview he did in 2002, he mentioned his displeasure in the film being presented in 4:3 instead of the 16:9 master with Dolby 5.1 surround that was available on laserdisc. He also mentioned that WBHV didn't even contact him for a commentary, even though he wanted to do one.

I know. I remember that. It's a "music from and inspired by" album. The Danny Elfman soundtrack appeared a few months after the films release. I know the Prince album says "soundtrack" but not really for a guy like me who loves film scores. They still do that today with movies like The Hunger Games. I don't consider those soundtracks either except if the movie is filled almost only with songs like Wolf of Wall Street or American Hustle.

I already own the Prince album, but there are 5 singles from the album w/ B-sides and remixes. That would be cool if those were added.

BatDance, PartyMan, The Arms of Orion, Scandalous, and The Future.

Hey Warner, instead of releasing a movie for the third time on Blu-Ray, why not release The Animated Series and Mask of the Phantasm for the first time?

I thought this site used to automatically spoiler repeat images when quoted? I could be mistaken. If I am, perhaps that would be a good suggestion.
Obviously it would'nt stop every pic from being spoilered, just the quoted ones, but that would certainly be a big step, in reducing page load times.

I'd say there's very little chance that WB is going to put any kind of CD/soundtrack in the release, much less include B-sides/remixes. This thread turned towards the soundtrack because of that mock-up that someone created that I think some may be thinking is real....
