I haven't seen anyone mention that Used Cars has shipped. Mostly just the autographed copies of The Front.

As it states very clearly on SAE's website, the "street" dates are estimates, and cannot always be adhered to...Used Cars and the other 4 April titles will not reach SAE before the 8th, so therefore will not go out until later in the week.
Cinram also has a major presence in Huntsville, AL. which adds distribution also.
that plant sends out all the FoxConnect titles.
(not sure which other studios they work with)

Thanks for posting this. It makes me feel more compassionate towards SA knowing its not just them holding up shipping. Hopefully its not too long after release date when people receive their April titles.

Please no retail bashing or personal insults. You can complain about shipping all you want but do it in a civilized manner.

Where else are you going to find a copy of Used Cars on blu-ray?

I think it's pretty awesome that there are small businesses out there working to get titles to bluray that the studios aren't planning to release. But who am I to step on your perfectly manicured lawn to throw stones at your big glass house? Yeah, that's you. The get off my lawn guy. Relax dude. You'll get your movie. You'll have one of the 3,000 copies. You should be grateful. There could be 0 copies.

Yeah I shouldn't have rewarded troll like behavior with a response but I did want to voice my sentiments about companies like SAE. I am not quite the serious collector and movie buff as the long time members here, but the addiction is slowly growing on me. It might spiral out of control before too long.

I think what the person was pointing out and everyone is too simple to understand is, regardless if a company is small or lare and they set a street date and the consistently miss it, then the company is unprofessional and should stop posting street dates because posting street dates and missing them all the toime makes them seem incompetent.

How are they missing it "all the time"? I am not here to defend TT, but some of this stuff is ridiculous. Smaller labels sometimes miss the street date...TT, RARO, Olive, Arrow and many others. So what?

EDIT..this and the guy from before are one and the same, just different accounts. Disrupting this forum will not be allowed.

I love the TT Blurays that I have, but it's true that SAE is a bit slow in shipping.
I see everyone presents as reason that they can't ship items that they haven't received yet!

But what about items that are in stock?

My latest order in the sale, was Beloved Infidel and Bonjour Tristesse, that were supposedly in stock (i mean it didn't say in the site: out of stock - we're waiting for more), and it shipped 9 days after I ordered.

By the way, i just checked the tracking number info, and I saw that it took 6 more days after shipping, to leave US (I live in Europe). Is this normal?

filmmusic--the mail situation in the US is deteriorating with every passing day.
the usps has closed many sorting sites and laid off hundreds of workers.
I have seen the time it takes for my orders to arrive, from every company and seller I deal with, get longer and longer as the months have gone by.
It is a very bad situation that shows no signs of improving.

Just received Equus and Fever Pitch this morning, looking forward to watching the latter this evening. But just noticed in the booklet for Fever Pitch that the Arsenal badge on the last page is the wrong one. Arsenal didn't adopt that badge until 2002, and this movie was based in 1989.

I sympathize with the plight of smaller businesses but my question is this: If you know there are going to be delays getting the product to the distributor, why not just order it a week earlier? If you know the manufacturer has a tendency to miss or get the product to the distributor on the street/release date why not push for a day or 2 earlier? Wouldn't even that small amount of time alleviate some of the problems and thus reduce complaints?

I haven't received a shipping notification for my pre-orders and that's OK, but I'd still like to get them as close to Tuesday as possible.

I think it should be noted...

March 14th - The following titles are available now for pre-order: BROADWAY DANNY ROSE (1984) BLU-RAY , WILD AT HEART (1990) BLU-RAY , MR HOBBS TAKES A VACATION (1962) BLU-RAY , USED CARS (1980) BLU-RAY, RITA, SUE, AND BOB TOO (1986). The tentative street date is APRIL 8th.

Am I in the Minority? Being from Canada I'm used to purchasing Blu-rays from the States and waiting anywhere from 2-4 weeks for items to arrive (Mainly Ebay), I virtually own every TT Blu-ray that has been sold by S.A.E. and I couldn't care less how long it takes to get to Me, just as long as I get them (Which is always).
I buy 4-5 at a time, always boxed safely and with Care. I couldn't care less about the Eco-cases since My Blu-ray Collection has Hundreds of similar Cases which seem to be the norm nowadays. Now we will be getting the Infiniti Cases which are stronger but are different in Shape/Form than the previous Elite, so if You like to showcase Your TT Blu-rays on a Shelf they will look different than the past purchases.
I'd like to come and visit and see more positive comments, why is everyone in such a hurry??? You will eventually get your product, watch it and most probably be happy.

I share your sentiments sir. I have such a backlog that I'm NEVER in a hurry to get anything shipped to me, as long it arrives safely that's all that matters to me.

Well said. I think the days of the internet have made the majority of people complainers who need instant gratification and constant validation. Remember the days before the internet when you'd have to order something via mailing a check to an ad in the back of a magazine and it would usually say, "Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery" and there was no company phone number or message board to gripe or complain to. I know we live in different times now, but I just don't see the big deal as to when the discs arrive. My life doesn't revolve around when a movie shows up in my mailbox. As long as it shows up eventually, it's all good. Maybe I'll go outside instead, take a hike up the hill, breathe some fresh air, play with the dog, and just enjoy the day.

I also remember manically checking the mailbox daily for about a month while waiting.

Today? Today, waiting sucks when there's no real reason for it.
