To follow up on this, Shout's awesome customer service responded to me immediately and is sending me a replacement slip. Cool!

RE: Sony

I didn't omit all the Sony titles, but it's probably not a bad idea.

We have to keep in mind that Sony has a massive 665 film, 52 TV series deal with Mill Creek in place on top of their pre-existing deal. We don't yet have a full list of titles included in that deal, but I Know What You Did Last Summer and Flatliners were both announced as part of that deal and I suspect those aren't the only two horror films that will be going over to Mill Creek.

Has there been any word on who got the rights to the Halloween movies yet? I'd love if Scream put out these especially 6!

I'd also love Candyman 2, what's the chances of getting this from MGM?

HELL YES! I love Dracula 2000, and I feel if Ginger Snaps, Lake Placid, and Dog Soldiers deserve it, so does this.

They'd better get cracking on Nightbreed, then. They haven't even started work on that one. Who knows what they're waiting for.

No kidding. That seems like a low priority.

If they did snatch up the Miramax titles, I'd want to see special editions of The Faculty and Phantoms.

I much prefer Dracula 2k to The Faculty, and I saw them in the same week. In fact, my feelings are encapsulated in this video:

They have to piece it all together themselves, there is no transfer to get. There aren't even any actual film elements, they only have VHS tapes of the deleted footage to work with.

From last month:

"...there are still murmurs that [the Cabal Cut] is overly long, there's some repetitive footage, it still needs a proper sound mix, there are a lot of flaws with it, you know, I mean it's essentially a fan-made workprint. We did it in-house and it's by no means a professional thing. And so when Shout Factory start the restoration and give it a proper mix and digitize it and restore it and Clive goes in and watches it and gives his notes, you know, and suggests the trims and puts everything in order and we have the ultimate thing, that's going to be the Director's Cut because Clive's had his hands in it, you know, it's an official, professional release and we want people to know that it is something different and it is something that's just going to be Clive's ultimate vision... We haven't given up the search [for more footage] - we're still looking! So stay tuned... anything is possible!"

Exactly. They are making the transfer, and as such, they have to make it BD acceptable. I mean, just look at the trashing they get when they are given a transfer from Universal. They have to make it good.

They acquired this flick last August and haven't begun any restoration on it. Considering the amount of work that needs to go into it, what are they waiting for? Those missing film elements are not going to magically appear from the Morgan Creek vaults after a decade of searching.

And with the current elements, it won't ever look BD quality. It'll look like the Halloween 6 spliced bootleg.

You're absolutely right. You should go do this. Manufacture this disc. Why leave it to the professionals?

Same with the Miramax library, until we know how got them, I wouldn't be so quick to delete them from the list. There's a good chance Scream picked these up.

Bubba Ho Te, Child's Play sequels, Village of the Damned, Creature, etc. are all titles I could see Scream one day releasing. I definitely wouldn't say there's no chance Scream won't release them. I can actually almost guarantee that we will see some of these next year. Don't know why you bolded Troll either as that's MGM. Dr. Giggles on the other hand is definitely a title that can go, as it's owned by Warner.
Yea, I haven't remove them all yet, since I just got back and am now seeing this, but for his first wave I did remove them.

Scream has already stated that they do not have Creature aka Titan Find and Bubba Ho Tep. Anything from Warner, Lionsgate , Sony, at this point are no goes and while they can make a deal with Universal it wouldn't be for all the titles on the list. That doesn't mean I personally wouldn't want them though. I did not bold the Halloween Miramax Halloween movies because I think Scream could get those...
Others I cant see them going after ..
The list is over years, (possibly 5+ years), I know Warner, Lionsgate, and Paramount are a Big fat NO, but some of the others still could be released

If they see Bubba Ho Tep has a large audience you can bet they will release it. Scream has been all over the place with their releases so I wouldn't say Troll, Bubba Ho Tep, Creature, etc. are beneath them. MGM has a lot to offer but they can't survive releasing low tier titles, scraping the bottom of MGMs barrel. As for Sony, I'm willing to bet they will have made a deal next year. Again, to survive they are going to expand their options, as they need bigger titles to survive. And we still don't know who got the Miramax catalog.

In my opinion (And it's just my opinion, it's really up to Wolfking), I would just delete the titles that they have no chance of getting, ie. Warner titles, Dark Sky, Scorpion, Blue Underground, Synapse, etc. and go from there. Maybe this will show Scream that Howling 2, or Troll has a huge audience.

Unless the poll is just to hope/ guess what remaining titles will be released this year, which in that case is probably only a handful plus the Price collection, and doesn't really need a poll for as they probably already have them.
Exactly spawningblue, That is the main purpose of the poll, that and to see what is truly the most requested. and this is for the whole of Scream's life, and not for this year, I won't make a list for this year, that's too short and pointless.

I don't see anything with Sony yet. They cant even get the MST3K movies that Sony owns the rights to from them (that's for the Shout DVD sets) Until I see a title from Sony's library I will just call it unlikely. They are dealing with Twilight Time
The poll only makes sense if its titles that have a real chance of getting acquired.. Any fan can hope for a movie from Scream Factory, but if it's a movie like the Keep or Creepshow they will be hoping forever because they cant get them from the studios that own them. I hoped that they would get Without Warning since its with MGM and they got it. They have a deal with Fox and Im hoping for the Fly II. Im sure Scream will continue to seek all avenues that they can get. They could even get more Code Red titles if they wanted to under the assumption Evilspeak and Final Exam do well.
And I have a feeling SF did get some of the Miramax titles..
Very true, Only titles Scream has a real chance of getting is what this list will compose of, and just because they got shot down, doesn't mean still can't get, unless they shot it down, because they can't get it, otherwise it's fair game.

Wolf (1994) - Sony already released this film on Blu-Ray

Films like Carrie, The Thing or Escape from New York might warrant double dips even though they already have Blu-Rays. A lot of these other titles probably have marginal double dip potential for any number of reasons.
Thank you very much, this helps very much, thank you again.

Thanks you all for this, and I'm truly grateful, I'm still wondering if you want me to delete Sony or not? and as for Universal, Scream has gotten films from them so, I'm keeping them, unless they have license them out to other companies with no chance of Scream getting them. Also for Extras, I have notice a lot blu-rays that have been released have no extras, and I can understand if there were none, but then you can make new ones, as long as their still alive it's all good, I doubt we can do anything more with The Jazz Singer (1927), I think everyone is dead, but with others they're still alive, or the DVD has more extras than the blu-ray which still need those transferred. But, Since this list is more serious oriented I will remove the ones Zbinks has listed, thanks again Zbinks.

Thank you all, and I will keep working on it, but it will be slow, I have friend visiting me, and school work. but expect the new poll and list to be up and live by at least mid to late April. Thanks again, every one of you, Thank You

OMG talk about a steaming pile. I'm pretty sure most, if not all, the notable cast members would love to have it stricken from their resume.
