Cool! Is Rambo IV the first Lionsgate movie without the silver bars on the top and bottom?

IF that happens, it could be quite a while.

I'm pretty sure Stallone had final cut on the movie, so it's more than likely just a way to squeeze more money out of it.

Yes he did. Kinda makes you wonder. He hinted that it would contain more background on the John Rambo character.

He also said all profits from the "Director's Cut" would go to help out the folks in Burma.

Still, I will pick up this version and then swap it in when the Directors Cut comes out (who knows when that will happen).

I actually have Lord of War on Blu-ray which doesn't have any silver in its cover art at all. It's my only Lionsgate title that's like that.

I was nervous about this, but no. They rang up just fine. The wal-mart employee was fighting to get the new display put together (Magnavox, Sony, Panny, Samsung players, new movie display, etc. takes up a whole aisle) and I saw them tucked behind some other movies. I don't even think they were supposed to be out yet, but grabbed them anyway. Also picked up Bee Movie (hard to find in my area at least) and 27 Dresses (for the wife, so she wouldn't kill me for spending so much.

Yeah, I can't believe places keep doing that. When I was trying to find some other titles early recently, I saw the boxes at Walmart (for May 27th) and they're marked saying something like heavy penalties for releasing early and have the date clearly marked on it as well.

Hmm, it just dawned on me, since they had those out when stocking the newly expanded blu-ray areas maybe I'll get lucky as well. They seem pretty clueless about inventory in general anyway. I was asking one of them if they had any way of checking the inventory to see if they had Bee Movie she said no. That they pretty much just have to go through the boxes and have no idea what they've got until they do so. I'm hoping she just didn't want to help me though. Otherwise, that's pretty ridiculous for this day and time (i.e. not having a computerized inventory system).

I hate going anywhere near our walmart normally, but I may have to try my luck on this too

That's a decent price but I am willing to wait a couple more days for Amazon. I paid just $28 for the box set and I am waiting to buy the new Rambo until it's heavily discounted as well.
