I think the digibook might be dead in the water. We only got a release of the theatrical version and it was released at the same time as the normal release. That means we should be seeing one now. I see quite a few of them (the first movie digi) around so maybe Warner felt it wasn't worth the expense as it didn't seem to sell.
As for the steel, Now that I think about it that wasn't released at the same time. It was the extended edition in 3d only (for the US market at least) and wasn't released until November so there's steel (heh) hope. The OCD in me would prefer the same release as the first film: digibook for theatrical, steel for 3D extended since in the US at least that's what we got. It would make my collection seem more in order. Then again at this point I'll take what we can get. |
