The Dark Knight is PG-13; how kid-friendly is it?

As a parent I saw err on the side of caution. Definitely see it first. You know you're kids. Batman is a character that is going to have some pretty adult things happen in the movie especially if the Joker is involved. Also the Harvey Dent pics we've seen may be pretty jarring.

I guess a question for you would be: Do you want to desensitize your kids at this age? If it was me, I would probably hold off. Maybe 10 - 12 if they seem mature enough to handle it at that age (and watch it at home in their environment together so you can see their reactions). Parenting and entertaining your kids are two very different things IMO.

BTW - Twins huh? must be pretty tough.
