ABC's Mistresses

Even though it's based on the UK TV show Mistresses, I really like this show. Alyssa Milano does an amazing job. It did get a renewal, but I'm wondering when we'll get a dvd or blu-ray release? Does anyone know if it's common for ABC to wait this long for a release on a physical format?

Couldn't find a separate topic for this show, hence why I made this one. If there is already a topic about this, please let me know!

A drama about the scandalous lives of a group of four girlfriends - each on her own path to self-discovery as they brave the turbulent journey together.
Meet Savi (Alyssa Milano), a successful career woman working toward the next phase in her life, both professional and personal; simultaneously bucking for partner at her law firm while she and her husband Harry (Brett Tucker) are trying to start a family of their own.
Savi's free-spirited and capricious baby sister Josselyn (Jes Macallan) couldn't be more different - living single, serial dating and partying - and regularly leaning on her big sister along the way.
Their mutual best friend, April (Rochelle Aytes), a recent widow and mother of two, is rebuilding her life after tragedy and learning to move forward - with the support and guidance of her closest girlfriends.
And friend Karen (Yunjin Kim), a successful therapist with her own practice, reconnects with the girls after her involvement in a complicated relationship with a patient goes far too deep.

Assuming that next season won't start until June again, I'd expect a DVD only release May or June. Usually ABC shows have a pre-order up already so it is kinda weird that it's not. I wouldn't imagine them not releasing it.

I also really like the show as it reminds me a little of Desperate Housewives. I had watched a few episodes and liked it but considered dropping it probably because I watch too many shows as it is. But I'm glad I didn't.

That's what is worrying me. Don't see why they would give the show a second season, without releasing the first on DVD.

Glad to see that someone else is liking the show! Not much talk about the TV show on the internet. I think people are put off by the title of the serie. Even though the show actually discourages affairs (unlike some other shows), people are worried that it promotes 'being a mistress'.

We'll see, maybe in a month they'll announce something. Hopefully.

I noticed that too but it was expected. From the beginning I thought it was positive towards mistresses but that idea was quickly changed. Maybe more people will watch next season, because I know I'm hesitant of watching new shows since most of the ones I like get cancelled, unfortunately.

So still no release date for the first season, even though the second season will start airing in less than 2 months.

Anybody knows how I can contact ABC? I've tried through Facebook, but they don't answer it.
