Just went to the Fox site and found a contact option.
I've modified my above post and sent it to Fox UK Hi. I recently bought This Means War UK Blu Ray, which includes a digital code. With previous Fox UK codes they have been iTunes compatible. The code for this film / Blu Ray however is not valid for iTunes. So I go to foxdigitalcopy.com/uk/go and enter the code and the only two options I get are 'Android Beta' (a Google Play app) and 'Windows Media Player'.... The WMP option is a 1.11GB download that gives me the following error message when I try to play it... 'Your media usage rights have become corrupted or are no longer valid. This might happen if you have replaced hardware components in your computer.' The Android Beta option is a Google Play app for an android device... I have an iPhone and an iPad... So basically, I can't do anything with this 'digital copy'. I assume the WMP error is something to do with Digital Rights Management, so I can sit her and mess with the settings in the vain hope that I can get a WMV to play on my PC... But either way, I get no Apple compatibility and no Cloud / Stream capability. How is this 'Plays Anywhere'!? Why can't this be either iTunes or Flixster? Im annoyed and baffled. I'll be very surprised if I get a reply. But... what the hell have I got to lose... |
