Make sure to look through the other threads, as there has been much talk of this recently. I'm don't remember for sure what people have said about this, but I remember reading something on these forums about them waiting on some special features tech, like BD-J. Don't know for sure there, so just look through the threads.

Default Ronin

Ronin is available for pre-order at amazon.com, release date June 5. It is an MGM title distributed by Fox. This is a good sign IMO. I have just pre-ordered it together with A Few Good Men and Cruel Intentions, both from Sony which will also be released on the same date.

Default Fox Where Art Thou??

Universal is beating the s__t out of FOX with new announcements, even though most of them are really bad movies, Legend?? Ridley Scott's worst, great Goldsmith score!

My wish list:

1.Alien
2. Aliens
3. The Sand Pebbles
4. Patton
5. Tora Tora Tora
6, The Fly
7. Master and Commander
8. Planet of the Apes
9. From the Terrace(Not a great movie, but love it)
10. Cleopatra and many many more.....

I think Fox has the most titles I want in HD.

Use the search function to find out about Fox. They're waiting for BD+, the new digital rights management, to be finalized.

This is just a guess, but I would think it will be 3 months worse case. I'm looking to see BD+ titles from Fox by the end of July or the first week of Aug.

oooo yeah! I love that film.

I bet the Speilbergs will be out after the format war though. His films took some time to appear on DVD. Always the same with new formats.

So, does that mean that Ronin will be Region Free (as described in the specs on Amazon) or strictly Region A as all USA Fox blu rays are .... ?

Being in Australia (Region B), I need Ronin to be Region Free to be able to play it.
"Distributed by Fox" makes me nervous as all Fox releases are strictly Region A coded.

Default What's up with 20th Century Fox??

Anyone know what's up with them lately?? They've been awfully quiet, I know that they're waiting for BD+ anti-piracy protection but couldn't they just release a couple here and there. I hope they're not just sitting back because Blu-ray is doing well... They make up about 1/4 of BD releases and HD-DVD list is growing, Universal movies making up about 70% of the list.
