Anyone else notice WB just did a solid with this Blu-ray release on a 50 GB disc with 24 bit audio and 27 mbps transfer? It sort of surprised me considering the release of Sorcerer is only on a 25 GB disc and is a lot more compressed... but one a lot more people wanted to see on Blu-ray (hence the Digibook).

Regardless, It's good that this film has received a nice release! I will certainly be purchasing it now.
Warner is one weird studio-

They did the same with The Last Boy Scout-

Universal could learn a few things.

In the beginning the were one of the worse. Bad transfers and lossy audio on everything. Then they started using lossless and were one of the small few who remasterd all their classic films. They're still not perfect though. Some new blurays could have been better. Like Gravity. They hardly use most of the available BD space and their bitrates are always low.
