I already own the limited edition of The Evil Dead on blu, but I really want to buy that steelbook, it looks great! It'll look nice next to the remake. And I'll probably get Lords of Salem as well, I really liked that movie and the steel looks great.

The Evil Dead artwork is amazing. I hope Anchor Bay has US SteelBook releases planned for Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness.

No such luck , Evil Dead II is @ Lionsgate and Army of Darkness is @ Universal.

It would be cool if those two studios would give thoses titles the SB treatment. Both of those studios like SB's , so who knows.

Unfortunately the Target Exclusive steelbook for Django was pretty poor quality. Paint chips on the corners of almost all the ones they had....unfortunately the one I picked up had a paint chip under the cardboard slip so I was never really happy with the release.

Will pick up the Django and will hope for better results this time.

As for the movie itself, it's all the things you expect from Tarantino. Funny dialogue, lots of tense moments and really interesting visuals/music. AMAZING performance from DiCaprio and another stellar performance from Waltz.

My minor quibble is Tarantino's stories aren't that clever. This is how many revenge films now? Django getting captured, and then being handed over to the Australian guys to work for them......really?? Django bribing them, then turning on them to be free was entirely predictable and not tense in the least. Furthermore, I had a tough time believing they would've diver given up Django in the first place. Not clever writing in my opinion. Buy I can't overlook all the great things about the movie.

Gah. I just bought the Uk Evil Dead steelbook based on the fact that it has the Anchor Bay dvd extras. This is a better looking steelbook though, with the back art.

You cant replace the plastic tray portion of a steelbook can you? (To fit the UK and US disc in there (for the two aspect ratios))
