I haven't seen Rollerball in about 15 years, but I remember it being good. Not as cheesy as most serious 70's sci-fi films, and much like that same decade's Network, just as prescient about reality tv/sports.

Can anyone tell me if I will incur import tax when ordering from the UK?

They do put the real value on the customs sticker so it's a matter of luck. I'd say they get me about 30-40% of the time on orders from Screen Archives

A lot of people love Rollerball, and this is the first and only Blu-ray release of it worldwide. I think there's a lot going for it being the fastest sell out. It's got me, someone who is 100% opposed to everything Twilight Time represents (swindlers preying on movie lovers with inflated pricepoints in a down market/dying industry, and a trend where $35 becomes $50 (hi don may!), becomes $100, etc), registered on Screen Archives and hitting refresh.

Also, I'd factor in that the MGM R1 DVD is absolute dogshit. I mean when I adopted Blu-ray in 2009 one of the first titles I'd name as yknow hoping to upgrade was my buddy Rollerball. (And last year I did pick up the decent R2 DVD, with a solid anamorphic transfer and all the supplements that will be on the TT disc, but a lot of people aren't even aware of those discs, and there's disinformation saying it's the same transfer when it's not).

As someone who has been playing the Twilight Time game for over a year now...uhh no on Rollerball being the fastest seller yet. Obviously you're falling into the same hype/fear mongering that you seem to be against.

Alright, I already (sortof) asked this before, but bear with me...

Step 1) Add $100 worth of TT stuff to your cart
Step 2) Add a signed BMtHoAG to your cart that presumably is in the TT listings? Add the regular listing of BMtHoAG to your cart? Don't add anything because it will automatically appear in your cart?

Probably my annoyance that (at this time) I don't have the option of a <$20 import option speaking, and I love Rollerball enough to pay the ransom for it.

In bold. The listing for the autographed copy will appear when the pre-orders go live.

If you want it I'd say get it, but I would not fear that it's going to sell out in the next few weeks. Very little hype on here for this one as compared to stuff like Christine and Night of the Living Dead (1990). Usually that's an indicator to how it's going to sell.

I'm buying it cause I love Rollerball.

I think there might be a perfect storm brewing. The DVD most people have was shit, there are no Blu-ray import options and this is a beloved movie. I guess I just have an intuition that I might not be alone in making this my first purchase from TT. Like I'm saying the people that go and buy Rollerball might be a crossover from the people who buy stuff like Rocky and T2, but don't like necessarily dwell on horror forums. At the same time, I think there's also a lot of horror/sci-fi fans that love Rollerball and will also buy it.

Nothing beats the horror crowd for jumping on a "hot" catalog release. Rollerball will sellout but not in day one, or week one...no way.

The Blob will sellout in hours of the pre-order going live .

I've bought a few and never had to pay any import tax

I guess I can make no claims for saying it will be the fastest sellout, but I don't see this one lingering on indefinitely like As Good Is It Gets.
