Default Sony do these so well....

I have to say, it's been a Sony strength for many many years, and they've kept up the tradition with the PS3.

The Blu-ray controller has to be the best remote I've used / owned in a long time. Not only is the bluetooth transmission superb, the layout and the feel are just right and it happily sits alongside my more 'esoteric' controllers.

Just had to say that. Actually having said that, the PS3 is a superbly made piece of equipment as it is. It certainly feels super solid and looks the part. Again it sits convincingly alongside my more 'hi-fi-esque' components and doesn't look too out of place.

Nice to see that some mainstream electronics companies put some thought into their work.

Just wish it had Bravia tv controls and control-over-HDMI or whatever it's called. But I'll live with the two seperates for now.

I've been very impressed with the remote.. definatly alot easier then using a pad, and saves battery time

Agreed, but it is a little bit of a fly in the ointment when you've got a Harmony 880 to control everything and are still saddled with a BT PS3 remote.

Great remote but I wish it was IR so I could have programmed it with my MX-700 remote or at the very least have a back light so I can see the buttons while watching a movie in the dark.

It would be nice, although it's only £17 in the UK so hardly hugely expensive especially compared to replacement remoted for TVs.

I like the bluetooth thing though, saves leaning over a table full of beer bottles to get a clear line of sight. *hic*

How long do you think it will be until we see a Harmony remote with Bluetooth?

I'm surprised it still hasn't occured. Is the PS/3's the first Bluetooth remote ever made?

RF support has been available for many years. Bluetooth is really an RF standard.
