Looks like both are from original poster art though.

I remember Ravenous being ultra gory with several regurgitation scenes - more revolting than entertaining

I know it's not Horror, But Shout Factory should release Fast Food (1989) on BD! Funny as hell! Traci Lords and Jim Varney (Ernest P. Worrell) is in it, Which is EPIC!

I don't recall it being super gory, but it has been a while.

Yeah, good artwork can really help sell a movie. I'm sure we've all rented or maybe bought movies due to the cover art. You think wow that looks really cool. Then you watch it and say oh what the hell was that mess.

Looking forward to Ravenous. It's been years since I've seen it.

It's got some gruesome stuff in it but it's got a really strange tone where it sometimes veers into black comedy territory, so I didn't think it ever got too nasty. I'm pretty much the most desensitized-to-violence movie watcher ever though.

I read on a website called Kids in Mind about all the gore and vomit myself and I just dont think it would be of interest. Im also one of those people that doesnt mind gore but needs to use the remote when I hear characters *vomit*. Not for me. But guess this - I dont mind Gates of Hell with that intestine scene lol
At least now I dont feel so alone about that. I hate doing it in real life so seeing it in reel life bothers me too. One of my few squeamish things. I can watch anything else practically even animals getting sliced like in those Cannibal films but barfing, no thanks

same, except my squeamish thing(s) are eyeballs, I hate anything that touches the eye, poking, stabbing, ripping, gouging and the lot, I can handle dismemberment, but eyes I cover my eyes like a little girl, and the other thing I feel squeamish about, but I don't think i'm alone in my opinion here (the males) but, Penis mutilation.

Yes! My favorite ninja movie (mostly because it was the first one I saw). I almost bought the MOD DVD. Then I saw Shout was releasing Ninja III and was sure they would release Enter soon thereafter. Oh well, maybe one day.

Haha interesting. The things that bother me in films are animal cruelty (shown on screen or implied) and anything related to scat, like Salo. Most other things I can handle, or have been desensitized to over the years.

Looking forward to revisiting Ravenous, especially the ending, although it is slowly starting to come back to me.
