Nothing confirmed. Based on the timing of previous announcements, the September/October title announcements will probably be made in early June.

I just finished watching Sexy Beast for the first time. This is one cool and harrowing film.

The timing of character close-ups to convey a sense of unease is also utilized brilliantly well in Jonathan Glazer's new film, Under the Skin. This film style is understated, but it's really quite effective.

I'm enjoying the commentary track right now.

I'm glad that I pulled the trigger on this Twilight Time Blu-ray before it disappears.

Bought Crimes and Misdemeanors at a fair price from a good gentleman on this site. Looking at the screen captures I must say it looks light years ahead of the old DVD, which looked pretty ugly.

Broadway Danny Rose seems like a smaller improvement though.

Which aspect ratio did you watch it in?

I think that's probably down to the origination - it's shot to look like an Italian neo-realist film from the late Forties and early Fifties, and it's not a look that's really going to pop on Blu-ray.

I admittedly did not devote a lot of thought to deciding on the ratio. I simply chose the top option.

Ben Kingsley's a revelation in SB. An extremely slight guy, but like the other characters you absolutely feel the tension and menace whenever he's around. Very versatile actor.

I received my Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia and Thunderbolt And Lightfoot today, so that's four days, including a Sunday. Not too shabby considering the horror stories on here. Maybe I got lucky? I also read that T.T. now require people to sign for their deliveries (unless I'm thinking of a different label), but that wasn't the case either.

T&L's cover is a little creased in the bottom-right corner, sadly, but nothing too serious. Very happy to have gotten the titles and I'll order another couple next month (if I can afford it!).

The other day I watched the Twilight Time discs of the Blue Max, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, and Sexy Beast. I thought the PQ for the Blue Max and Thunderbolt/Lightfoot looked great while Sexy Beast looked about average and appeared to be what seems to be called an older master (still watchable, just not even close to being as good looking as the other two films). I had never seen The Blue Max of Thunderbolt and Lightfoot before but I enjoyed both of them, and Sexy Beast has been a favorite of mine since I picked it up on dvd back in 2002.

I watched my Twilight Time Blu-ray of Cover Girl last night, and I could not be happier.

The Technicolor transfer looks quite impressive, and I would personally give a more generous video quality rating to the disc than the rating on the site review.

This is a fun little film. Rita Hayworth looks gorgeous, and I love Gene Kelly's dance sequence with his alter ego on the street.

I've never particularly been a fan of musicals, but I've settled into some excellent films in the genre because I like how they look and sound in high definition. Singin' in the Rain is my favorite, but I also enjoy The Sound of Music, Cover Girl, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Mary Poppins, and West Side Story quite a lot.

Has anyone that scored one of the signed Garcia copies had theirs ship yet? I know they won't ship it if you had pre-orders with it, but I had no pre-orders on that order. I am curious if SAE even has the copies yet, or if this is going to be another 3 week wait.

So if you don't have preorders then probably sometime the week of May 5. If you've got preorders then probably mid to late May.
