Yep. It stuck out even worse in the theater when I saw it in Real 3D.

Some scenes were so visually inconsistent. It felt like PJ ran out of time on this film.

Didn't see it in 3d.

Speaking of, how was the 3D blu-ray? Saving up for a 3d set this fall, and the damn theatrical 3d blu is staring at me. It's such a pretty slip!

I didn't notice it, and I saw it in RealD HFR. I thought the 3D was very good, more memorable use than AUJ. Too bad I only have AUJ EE in 2D so I can't revisit it in 3D, but I do plan to get the DOS EE in 3D now that I have a 3D TV.

No, and I'm sure that 90% of the people complaining wouldn't have noticed it if somebody else hadn't pointed it out.

I actually didn't know anything about it going to the theater to see it. I just saw Legolas and some of the dwarfs in the barrel scene and felt like it was a video game. They had the telltale signs of CGI which include slight judders and extremely shiny/waxy textures. If you don't know what I mean watch the Neo vs. Smith fight in The Matrix Reloaded.

I felt it was a great 3D presentation. I didn't spot any ghosting or other apparent issues.

Both myself and a friend of mine saw the movie at different times and we both noticed the GoPro shots.

I guess I'm one of the 10% who noticed it immediately.

I immediately noticed the GoPro shots and I didn't read anything about it before seeing it. My sister saw the movie, at a different screening, and said she noticed it without me saying anything. She hardly ever watches movies either.

The gopro shots consisted of what, 4 seconds of screentime? Lets focus one something small and inconsequential instead of everything else.

We could talk some more about how crappy the entire barrel sequence was if you'd like.

I noticed it too the first time and I didn't know it was coming up. They stick out like a sore thumb. But that whole scene is a mess so the terrible gopro shots are somewhat appropriate.

Am I the only one who liked the barrel sequence? Thought it was quite fun.

I enjoyed it. I wanted to roll my eyes at the sequence with Bombur but I was laughing too hard.

I remember really enjoying it in the theater, and then when I watched it again on Blu-ray, it was just OK for me. I'm not sure why I didn't like it as much but it was just meh.

I didn't see it in 3D either time, though, so maybe I'm just missing a better experience. Probably am.
