I'm pretty sure that A Few Good Men & The Patriot will be in the next wave.
Both these titles have extremly low price on amazon now
Perhaps Lawrence of Arabia as well (it's out in Japan)

Spell checker won't pick it up because "loose" is supposed to be the opposite of "tight".
Never rely on a spell checker. Lots of people do though

I wonder if Gattaca might get one? Id snap that up in an instance. The current one doesnt look bad by any means but I suspect it could look better.

I thought the Lawrence of Arabia we got was Mi4K already.

EDIT - It was. https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Lawre.../52492/#Review

To be sure, no rose-colored glasses are required to see the greatness in the look back at Lawrence of Arabia, and now through the high scrutiny lens of Blu-ray comes an image that today requires only the gift of sight to see in all of its filmic glory. Sony's meticulous 4K restoration is not just a treat, it's a revelation and perhaps the definitive Blu-ray catalogue release, if not the format's finest presentation.

Right, but it's still Mi4K, so does it really matter? Slapping a label on it won't make it look any more incredible than it already does.

Taxi Driver was already 4K too, but the Mastered in 4K release is slightly better. The differences will be marginal at best however.

edit: According to McCrutchy, the Mi4K version is now split over 2 discs, and he said he's more pleased than he thought he'd be. The bitrate appears to be double that of the US disc

That's right MifuneFan, two disc version.
That should make some difference

A four hour movie really should be split over two discs anyway - interested if/when the Mi4K version of Lawrence appears here in U.S.

It would have helped with Gods & Generals and Gettysburg for sure as both have some compression issues pop up from time to time.

I think you're misunderstanding what Sony's 'Mastered in 4K' branding is all about. Yes, a film must have an underlying 4K master, but the point of this specific series of discs is that the Blu-rays themselves are mastered with expanded colour and some voodoo bullshit to make them look better on Sony's 4K TVs (supposedly, because I can't see a difference).

That's why the current version of Lawrence or the first Amazing Spider-Man movie don't count as Mi4K branded titles. They were mastered in 4K (or higher), but they weren't Mastered in 4K™ for the purposes of this Blu-ray range. Geddit?

Gattaca is currently licensed to Image Ent, so I kind of doubt it.

No, I disagree, I'm not misunderstanding them, I'm just making the point that with some films, there just isn't much of a difference, and I say that as an owner of a few Mi4K titles. I'm a big supporter of the Mi4K line, I like the added overhead the movie gets, without having to save space for worthless fluff, but even then, sometimes the difference is near imperceptible.

I'm kind of torn on this issue. I have several of the Mi4K discs, and am very happy with them. But my sense now is that we're maybe only 12-18 months away from a true 4K bluray -- and these titles will almost certainly be offered in the 4KBD format.

As much as I'd like to double-dip on THE PATRIOT or LAWRENCE, my wallet is telling me to hold out...

Voodoo bullshit! Good one!

I have not picked up any of these "Mastered in 4K" editions yet. It kind of irks me that the reissued the Raimi Spider-Man movies as one set and did not include the 4K editions. Once a better transfer is struck, the old one should be retired. Can't you just get a set with the best transfer and all the extras?

This is a marketing ploy, unworthy of attention unless they're remastering these titles and the new editions are a significant improvement over the old - wait for the reviews. Summer is coming, so put on your HD sunglasses and relax.

Picked up Ghostbusters, Glory, and the first 2 Raimi Spider-Man Films. Outside of those films which were improvements I have seen no reason to pick up the rest.

I have purchased the 4K editions of Men in Black, Glory, and Ghostbusters. All three are definite improvements in PQ. I just made combo packs with the original discs to keep all of the extras.
