hah, from what i've seen ledger would be a hard act to follow... in anycase, i'd rather have them focus more on twoface for 3 than have the joker arc continue.

Ummm, why did you point that out? Was it germane to this thread? An off-handed insult?

Hmm...I don't have any ideas right now, but there is a good point that with proper casting, they can integrate other actors into a role. Bond was a good example, and I am hearing that the casting for the upcoming Trek film does a great job of re-casting the original Trek crew, so it can be done.

Whether it SHOULD be done is another matter. And by whom, I don't know. I've seen Jake Gyllanhaal before, might be good, but I don't know if he'll be in the same ballpark as Nicholson and Ledger.

He's in everything these days, but I think Johnny Depp could best pull off the sadistic Joker and be on par with Ledger's Joker. Or possibly Tim Roth, though I'd like to see his performance in the Hulk first.

There are so many things that can be done in the thrid Batman movie depending on what happens in Dark Knight.

The Joker can be recast. They just need to do the same "didn't see that guy playing Joker" type casting again.

I would think Hugh Jackman, Ed Norton or Leo DiCaprio would be able to do a good job of the Joker.

Russell Crowe..... Nah, Just kidding. Move on, The Dark Knight focuses on the Joker as best I can tell. Move on to the next villain, Two Face.... I don't think Heath Ledger could be replaced, but if WB does decide to take the Joker into the next film, I'll have to go with Josh Hartnett... I think he favors Heath Ledger the most, just like Maggie and Katie favor....
