Japan Argento's Opera July 25th 2014

Pre-order up now, coming from Japan. It's listed as the full uncut 107 minute version. It's from Kadokawa, so hopefully true HD. I don't think I can wait for a possible American release. I remember Bill Lustig saying there was no scan available about a year or so ago. I guess that has changed.

Well shit that's excellent news!

Keep in mind that the TOURIST TRAP blu-ray released in Japan is apparently an upconvert, so there is the possibility that this could be one too.

As I said, I hope it is true HD. TT was released by Happinet. Kadokawa is a major of sorts, so hopefully no shenanigans.

Bah! This has not been confirmed anywhere, people are basing that off of ONE Amazon Japan comment that said the movie was in bad quality, for all we know that could be someone expecting a brand new film. However I did find it fishy that all of Happinets other blu-ray releases that were not upscales clearly have the words HD on the cover while Tourist Trap does not.

I thought 88 Films were bragging to wait on their version since the Japanese release was an upscale?
