When I started, 500 seemed impossible. No way can there be that many movies I want to have in my collection.

I know right, I did kind a slow down buying regular edition amaray and mainly just ordered/pre-ordered Steelbooks, Anime. So with that it will take me longer to get to 2000. Unlike at one point I averaged 20-30+ movies in a matter of weeks. But right now no Hasting sale, BBY no longer have Up&Save, I hardly goes to B&N CC sale anymore, too lazy to drive to B&M stores and thus kept me missing out on retailer exclusive and sales.

Very true! With a 3yr old running around and another due in a few months, free time is at a premium!
Between TV DVR, Netflix and BD purchases it can get a little overwhelming at times. Of course, on the bright side, if the format were to cease production tomorrow, I'd have enough to keep me going for about a year...give or take.

I'm in the same boat except mine are nearly 5 and 3. Thank goodness I have always been an night owl or I'd never get to watch any BDs other than kids titles.

And even if your income doesn't grow your collection will still manage to grow over time.
