Depending on what state or country he was in, the marijuana could have been legal.

Yes it isn't right or fair that they will suspend him over weed and Codiene. But still the kid is a idiot. He has the talent to be one of the best and get paid millions and millions of dollars and he's throwing it away. He must really really love to get high. When I was 20 I loved to get high but I would have loved millions of dollars a lot more.

I'm so pissed as a browns fan. We can't even have 24 hours of happyness. I want to know why this was leaked now. What douchebag ******* moher****er said "nows the time. Release the story so we can shit down the throats of clevleand fans."

Josh Gordon= giant tease. Oh well at least we didn't burn a 1st on the guy. Instead we used our firsts on such wise selections as Trent Richardson and Brandon wheeden.

You hear this Manziel? Time to come save cleveland football! This is what cleveland football has been about for the last 15 years. 1 step forward 2 steps back. I know the odds are slim that Manziel really turns into one of the best QBs in the league but it's the only thing that can save us.

Please god just give me 8-8 this year. I can't take another 4-12. No matter how much I want to I just can't stop watching... I can't stop being a fan. It's just no fun as year after year goes by and the loses just continue to pile up. It's just no fun

Legal has nothing to do I with it. If he in fact failed a drug test he violated NFL league policy.

I'm aware, but as states are legalizing it, the NFL's rule should be discussed and re-evaluated.

That's the player I was afraid we would reach for.

I'm glad we got Ja’Wuan James, a natural RT, high character guy, good work ethic, healthy, exactly what we needed.

I was reading about LTs moving to RT:

Quote:
Take last season for example: Eric Fisher, Luke Joekel and Lane Johnson were all college left tackles and asked to move to the right side as rookies.

Disaster.

Johnson rated the No. 39 tackle in ProFootballFocus.com's tackle ratings, gave up 10 sacks and 39 quarterback hurries. He was the No. 4 overall selection.

The second overall selection, Joekel, broke his ankle in October after playing only five games. He gave up three sacks and 11 hurries (more than two per game) in those games that accounted for only 280 snaps. He didn't have one game where he graded out on the plus side, according to PFF.

Eric Fisher, the No. 1 overall selection by Kansas City obviously was not going to beat out Branden Albert at left tackle. So he moved to right tackle and, well, struggled. He was rated No. 70 among 78 rated tackles while giving up six sacks and 35 hurries and collecting six penalties.
Not to mention natural RT DJ Fluker fared better than them all.

I don't hate the Jimmy Garoppolo pick, but I wish they had taken someone that could help now. My ideal pick would have been Iowa tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz with the second round pick and then taken a QB like Tom Savage, A.J. McCarron, or even Garoppolo if he fell in the third. I just think the Pats are very close to a title and should focus on winning now like the Broncos clearly are.

I'll admit I didn't know who the Ravens last pick was. Then I saw it was a Tight end that's 6'6" 260. Watched some video, that guy looks like he could be a beast down field and on blocks.

Please explain how it is not fair. He violated league rules plain and simple. Codiene is a Schedule V narcotic in some states in others it is II/III. Some people have actually OD from the "Purple Drank". The NFL is just looking out for player/fan safety and there is nothing wrong with this.

As for the weed argument it is 100% right that he be suspended for this. While it may be legal in some states, guess what federal law supersedes state law in this regard and weed is still classified illegal under United States federal law.

He knew the rules when he signed that contract it is his responsibility to adhere to them as a player in the NFL.

It's all just part of the "incarceration society/war on drugs" scam that has become so deeply rooted in American society. But that's another topic for another day.

It already is. Goodell teased the possibility of allowing medical marijuana earlier this year. It'll be awhile but it seems inevitable that the NFL will eventually allow it.

Chad you don't have to convince me about why Marijuana should be legal, trust me I have arguments for it that made people cry back in my school days.

I'm pissed that you guys got two players from FSU, now I have to root against them. Timmy J is going to be a beast and Terrance Brooks is under rated imo he's going to be good too.

He doesn't have the size or speed to be very successful at the next level. Perhaps a special teams contributor. If he didn't come out, no one would be talking about him.

Then why was he a projected 3rd or 4th round pick until he came out? Come on, him not being drafted at all is entirely because he's gay. He was a late round pick at worst.

Those projections were prior to his terrible combine and pro day. This has nothing to do with his sexual orientation and everything to do with the fact his game won't transition very well to the NFL.

ROTM.....I've been a DIEHARD Browns Backer for more than 4 decades and I feel your disgust. Gordon had an opportunity to be a Top 5 receiver in this league (just look at game 3 in Minny last year, and what he did).

Syc and Reaps posts below are dead n*ts on, why he should be suspeneded. It's Gordon's FAULT, and us Browns Backers are paying the price.

Hope this pic from my sports room makes you feel better.
