Default Best Buy - Virginia - More BD Space!

Was in Best Buy yesterday buying ER Season 7 and notice that the Blu-Ray section has now increased to 5 spots compared to HD-DVD's 2 spots.

That's good news, here in Florida my local Bestbuy still has 2 spots for each format.

nope - I've seen totall Recall, Terminator and Stargate all for CDN$19.99 at Best Buy in Canada.

Cheapest price on those titles I've seen.

Well, in Columbia Maryland they still have equal space for Blu-ray and HD-DVD. I normally swing by for a few minutes several times a week on the way home. Because they have the Blu-ray discs so scrunched together (i.e., many of them NOT facing out to the customer), I've sometimes just ordered a movie from Amazon because I thought that Best Buy didn't have a particular movie at the time.

Depends. I price shop. I buy where it's the cheapest. For instance, my ER Season 7 set - I was going to buy on Amazon, but after shipping to get it to me the next day, it was 45.00.

Best buy had it for the same price, 34.99 plus tax. So it was 35.75. Then I had a 5.00 reward zone certificate so I got it for 31.45 out the door. Cheaper.

Pirates on the other hand - waaay cheaper on Amazon.

They are not too bad. Especially since they price match other B & M stores for up to 30 days after the purchase. I buy from there and wait like 3 weeks and then look online at other stores (Target, Wal-mart, Virgin, K-mart, Circuit city, etc.) and if I find something cheaper somewhere else, I print a screen capture with the price and bring it back in to BB and they refund the difference to my card. I bet as blu-ray continues to grow that BB will offer cheaper and cheaper movies.
