I don't think The Ancient Fear will actually end up being the title. I mean, it isn't just a working title? It's quite literally an opposite play on words of A New Hope. I'm rather certain it's not the real title but if it is it's not terrible, it's just very amusingly mirrored from the first title.

He may have survived the battles of the Original Trilogy, but, it doesn't look like we'll see Denis Lawson's character, Wedge Antilles, fly any missions in the upcoming Star Wars films. At a screening for his latest film, Lawson was asked if he been approached about reprising the role, "I’m not going to do that...They asked me but it just would have bored me.” In the past he has said that he would not be interested in "just a cameo", but he would consider it, "if there was a fully rounded and expanded role for him in the film,...script and price pending."

While it would be nice if he did make a cameo... it's not that big a deal that he doesn't.

Especially given how he's reminding me of Halle Berry's attitude about Storm.

But he'll be there when Disney eventually does the film series based loosely on the EU X-Wing Rogue Squadron books. For me, they rank up there with the Thrawn trilogy.

No chance they adapt any of the EU stories like that. Thank goodness.

Especially since all of the previous EU has been tossed out and relabeled as "Legends".

They'll draw elements from it sure. Just like they doing now with Rebels.

I wasn't being serious about the book to film adaptation. But I do like that series.

I always thought Lucas should have added Porkins' ghost to the ending of ROTJ.

Just saw About Time (now one of my favorite film, a non-sci-fi time travel story that tears me up, that's rare). Domhnall Gleeson just reminds me of Peter Cushing. Will we see Tarkin's descendant in Episode VII?

There's big events, like the stuff with Jacen, that I think could still play out, but differently than we saw. If this is the case can it be assumed even tho not cannon there was a story of a solo child going to the dark side and having to be killed in the EU wonder if that's what we are looking for as the premise to this series.

Yes you do because someone has to take the story and turn it into a script. That is where they came in that is what they did for episode V

They aren't using that EU story. They're using Lucas' treatments, the first film of which was developed by Michael Arndt, and now re-worked again by Abrams and Kasdan.
