I know I shouldn't worry about a date that's 20 days past when it was supposed to come out originally, but this still makes me really sad

That's not a bad release date for something that was just in theaters. I think LA and NY were the only two places that got it early.

Doesn't Paramount have similarly short release time frames? I feel like just over 3 months is pretty standard nowadays, and that's assuming we're talking about it coming to theaters in early April.

Was able to catch this 3 times at my local theater. Day 1 to say the least.

Why does the thread title say July 28th!? Probably a typo.
Release date is July 8th and even the posted link states that date.

I`m just a little worried as the cover art doesn`t mention unrated and
Evans said the Bluray release would be a longer unrated version.

I regret not seeing it in theaters, so I can't wait to get the BD. I kind of hope Sony does a double-pack with both movies too since I've yet to pick up the first (I've seen it twice through Netflix).

It's very good but not quite like the first. The first half is very plot driven, setting up some key plot elements and building tension. The second half is pretty much all out action resolving those tensions. It does have a familiar "gangster" feel to it, while the first was more action oriented from the get go.

The release date was taken down from the official site and changed to July 28th.

I'd like to point out that the date for the DVD is listed as July 8th, but the Blu-ray still only has a July 2014 date. It's not specific.

I hope you're right, though. The other Raid 2 release thread had it listed as July 8th... but then the date got taken down apparently.

You`re right, I just realized it simply says July for the Bluray.

July 28th however is still a Monday, which would seem weird to me as a date.

The Blu-ray and DVD are definitely coming out on the 8th of July. My bad, I couldn't edit title portion.
