Too bad it doesn't seem like the Universal disc of Halloween II will be in there alongside the Scream Factory one, especially since they've corrected the opening credits. That means that the better looking transfer and Terror in the Aisles will be missing.

I wonder if they'll update part II and III to include ENG subtitles. It would be kind of weird if some of the films in the franchise include subs, but others do not!

Same here! I see the Amazon link is now a sign up page, so that seems like promising news that no ordered will get cancelled.

FWIW, I asked Scream Factory on Twitter whose release this is, there reply:

"50/50 joint credit all the way down the line!"

I think from now I'm I'm always going to preorder the Collectors Editions with the limited posters direct from SF now. The prices are crazy on them and they seem like fantastic items. The only one I have right now is Phantasm II but I'll stick with getting them all for the future.

This will be my first direct order from Scream Factory since Dark Skies The Complete Series Declassified (DVD) got released by them! Made my pre-order and will keep it with them. This will have to be packed in a legit box... straight up, so my shipping concerns are alleviated....

Anyone remember what the MSRP was for the Friday the 13th set last year? I'm trying to gauge what the likely price will be on the Halloween set come this September. What was the price a few of you locked in on amazon.com?

I'm seriously thinking about ordering direct from SF, for the litograph. I just wish I could see what it looks like first though!
I mean the lowest I see this set going on Amazon is $100, so it would be $35 for the limited to 500 litho?

MSRP was $129.95 for the F13 set, and the preorder price bottomed out at $90.97 through Amazon.

Just a heads up for people ordering the Halloween set, Pre-production work has begun on Halloween 3(d?) and it will likely be released in the next year or two. Current rumors suggest the film will follow Rob Zombies reboot, but he himself will not be involved. So for anyone liking the idea of all the films in one nice neat little package, there is already a new film on the horizon.

Thanks... yeah I picked the set up through WBshop for $75 with a coupon, but using that logic I'ts probably safe to assume a $99 - $129 price for the Halloween set through amazon.

Would be amazed if they carried on from RZ movies, more likely another reboot i would think.

The only problem I see about waiting is if they end up being limited like the Breaking Bad barrels. Which I hope they are not.

Now that the Halloween announcement is finished, when's the next announcement for Scream?

I'd imagine with this set, September and October might look a little lighter for Scream. I'm not expecting any other "massive" titles to be announced for those months, sans something like Phantasm.

But, I hope I'm wrong.

It's been a while, but as I recall,
[Show spoiler]all the main characters were basically dead or dying
at the end of the Director's cut RZ HII, which seems to be the canonical version of the film, since that's the only version getting a US release on Blu-Ray. Assuming
[Show spoiler]Michael Myers is the only major character left alive
in RZ HII, the upcoming film could just as easily be a sequel to H8 as it could RZ HII.

Very true. They never will but if i had my way i'd want them to do a remake of part 6 picking up from revenge, quick scene to recap and then a jump forward to danielle Harris as an adult Jamie because that character deserved so much better than what happened in curse. Fanboy dreams i know but i'd love that. Its not that i hate part 6 or later sequels though ,i have more of a tolerance for even ressurection than most, even though its awful i have kinda forgiven it now.

Well, September already has Pumpkinhead 1&2 and the Halloween set. The two Barker titles are for Fall too.
