Sharpness 2

Color Temp warm

Dynamic contrast off

DNR on

Active Control on without light sensor

I think the contrast is a little high and thats what Iam still trying to fine tune.

Hope this at least is a start for some as there is not alot of info out there yet for this set.

Iam still enjoying mine, seems like a pretty solid set.

I have the 42" Philips. While settings are going to be subjective based on your environment and eye, here are some recommendations:

1. Turn off the DNR and Active Control. They can actually add noise to HD programming.

2. Sharpness on this set is a little weird. While on most sets you'd want it very low or off as it can add noise, I'd recommend setting it to 5. Pop in a BD and pause it and try it yourself- 0-3 are very soft while 4 and 5 bring in good detail without adding anything to the picture.

3. Change that "warm" setting- makes the reds too red in my opinion (though you have the contrast set lower than I do). Try doing a search over at AVS- there's actually a thread dedicated to setting up the TV and they have some great custom color temps that I am using myself.

Enjoy the set!
